What's everybody's opinion on the best paint sealant? Durability, ease of application, lasting length, etc.

 

Jescar Power Lock is awesome. Very easy to apply, easy off. Water beading and shine lasted 2 years. Gloss level was very high. @Loki 6

 

I also use Jescar Power Lock. Easy to work with. Great results.

 

I'm going to have to check out this power lock. I've been a Blackfire fan for many years. Prior to that was Zaino.

Hey Stingray, good question and talked about many times over in the car care discussion...come and hang with us!

There is an overwhelming amount of products we can discuss ad nauseum. In my opinion, the answer to your question requires you to answer some questions first; to select something that is going to work for you. To get the "best fit" for your application and expectations I'd ask:

• Is your car ceramic coated? If no, are you planning on coating anytime within the next 6 months or more?
• Do you have an affinity towards ceramic (SiO2) products or polymer based products or newer graphene infused products?
• How much time do you spend detailing or just washing your car? How often? Do you enjoy the process? Do you want to get into it more?
• Are you a carnauba wax aficionado, if so, are you willing to give up using it for another gloss and protection type of product?
• Where do you live - asking for yearly weather conditions. As an example I live in South Florida, we have tons of heat, humidity, and blazing sun....then it rains about every other day or two during the summer. Weather greatly affects durability and ease of application of anything in detailing and general car care.

I'm happy to make a few recommendation, but again, with such a myriad of products in just the polymer and Si02 segment, the credits would be rolling and we'd still be in only one category! So, please look at the questions above, think about them, and kindly answer honestly - there are no wrong answers to those questions. Conversely, if I don't know your answers to those questions, I could easily steer you the wrong way with multiple incorrect product suggestions, or suggest products that fall short of your expectations and criteria.

Should you not understand the significance or want to know the reasoning behind my questions, I'm happy to discuss- that's a good sign, as I learn more detail by asking questions after someone teaches me something.
