That's what I use as well and very careful not to touch the circuitry.
The guy's doing a UTube demonstrating "how to" change a C7 FOB battery yet he makes the two biggest mistakes in doing such.
You would think he would at least read his owner's manual before creating a Utube video telling everyone else how to do it.
That's one of the biggest problems with the internet, everyone's an expert.

Excellent tutorial it you want to risk F_ _ _ _ing up your FOB. He uses a screwdriver to remove the battery and rubs his fingers all over the circuitry two things the manual specifically states not to do.
It fascinates me people would prefer watching a video made by some random guy on the Internet with questionable expertise over looking at the owner's manual and obtaining accurate information.
If you use a wooden toothpick to dig the battery out of your FOB make sure you are using an AC Delco brand wooden toothpick otherwise you will void your warranty. Most Corvette owners are aware of this.

You can even take it a step further, as there's frequent posters who have no practical or hands on experience related to Corvettes or even own one for that matter, yet are always spewing advice as experts when any info they supply (right, or often wrong) comes straight from goggle search. Without internet access, they probably wouldn't know an A8 from a M7.

Do it like it shows in the owner's manual. Using ANY metal on the edge of the FOB will scar and damage the edges of the FOB and it'll look like crap. DON'T DO IT!

That video is just soooooo wrong.

My guess is that guy used to own a C6, and that is how that OM shows how to do it. He never bothered to look in the C7 OM for the new directions that show how we've been doing it for years (even before the C7 came out).
Since you don't own a C7, I doubt you know how to open a door, but sure you will google it pretty damn quick. Seems that's where you get all of your C7 knowledge or more lack of knowledge from.
