How costly and or difficult would it be to go from an all black interior (2LZ) to a 2-tone red/black interior (2LZ) like below? Is something like this even possible after production? I have a '19 Z06 and would like to spice up the interior a bit.
That's actually my car you used as a reference, sort of a compliment thanks. But anyways the center console (lid and side pieces) are doable as is the red around the dashboard (batwing, as it's referred to). $250-$300 i think for the dash surround, $225 for the console lid and maybe $250-$300 for the sides of the center console. You would need new seat skins top and bottom and have no clue how you would get the red arm rests on the door panels. Here is another shot of the interior from the other side. Prices I gave on some pieces are accurate and some are estimated in my opinion.

Good information! Thanks! Any idea where one might get work like this done? My initial thought was to just head down to my Chevy dealership but I'm guessing they would probably charge an arm and a leg for work like this! Plenty of auto shops here in town too. Might just have to ask the guys at the local club next time I'm there.

You don't have enough arms and legs for what they will charge, lol.
You could try a local upholstery shop. The labor for the removal and re-install of the different
parts is what will really increase the bill.
If you could remove the parts, that would save you a lot of money.

Going to the dealer is out of the question. The center console lid and side pieces is a 10 minute job, they just pop off. The red around the gauge cluster I think is just a easy pop off and replace job also. The seat skins (top and bottom) I guess you would buy at GM and have a upholstery shop install. Like I said earlier I have no clue what it involves to do the red arm rests on the door panels but this video might give you some clues as it is a forums members car.
I did all the work over a 4 month period. Seats going to pull as I can fit them better than what they look like.
How long have the seat skins been installed? If recently you need to leave them out in the sun for a few days. If it's been awhile honestly they don't look good at all. You really somehow have to get them tight.
Over the years I've had a lot of interior work done on several cars by a very good professional upholsterer. Ones like him can do anything (only a very small exaggeration )
I'm in the process right now of getting my C5 seats re-done. Local reputable company is quoting $ 800 to pull seats from the car, re-build the foam and install new covers and put them back in the car. I supply the covers and there is the issue of whos' leather seats do I use. Prices range from $ 600 to $ 1200 for 2 covers. I'm figuring on spending $ 1600 or so.
Simple fit issue! I will show finished project! Love the silly post issues.! Door sills perfect, center console and bat wing! Haters going to hate! Oh di i mention the d wing steering wheel with digital display and the carbon fiber display! You have to pay to play! Seats are a simple issue.

Reason: just because
My C6 had a black and red interior, which I liked. But if you are gooing to completely change your interior color, plan on puttting in some time and work. Whey not save this for a winter project, and get it out and enjoy it until then.
