Default Quick quickjack 7000 SLX question

Has anyone measured exactly how far backwards (or forwards depending which orientation you place it) the QJ moves your car? I need to get my C7 up to R@R the washer pump and won't be able to pull the motorcycle out of the way so space is exceptionally critical in my tiny garage. I need to lift the C7 so the rear end is as close as possible to the garage door, but not interfere with it. I know, I could measure it myself but unlikely I'd get it right the first try and have to rerack it. So I figured I'd ask here first.

From QJ website

How much radial shift occurs at full lifting height?

Roughly 12" depending on which QuickJack model you own. Make sure there is plenty of clearance at the front and rear of the car.

I figured it was about a foot, and I assume my 7000 might move more than a 5000. But every inch is critical here when I need to close the door with both the C7 and motorcycle present.

just raise the quick jack without the car on it and measure the horizontal distance from the edge lowered to the edge raised.

That would be easy but you are not supposed to raise it unloaded. It can cause it to become unsynchronized.

So I went with 12" and indeed the movement was pretty much exactly 12". Since I wasn't sure I left some wiggle room and I could place the car back a few more inches from where it is, but honestly it is good like this. Room to walk in front to the door to get into the house, and good clearance to the garage door. Pics on the ground and lifted. I placed some tape on the floor to mark the spot to line up with for next time.

It is a little work to get it exactly where you want it. Probably will not get it on the first try. Once ya do mark the floor and you will be able to nail it every time.
