Air filter replacement

BMS
Green Performance filter
AFE oiled or dry (I have the oiled on my Z06 now. Unlike other oiled filters, this one is not dripping with oil and coating your MAF sensor). For $80, it's a great product.
Besides, many Corvette owners use after-market oil filters on their Corvettes. GM has acknowledged an has accepted this. Air filters are no different.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I don't put too much stock in the "performance" claims of using such filters (vs stock) and, IMO, the main advantage to using such filters is that you can just clean (reoil, if necessary) and reinstall them w/o the need to buy a new filter.
Don't have one in my MB ML350 or C7 yet. Didn't put one in my MB because it's a PITA to remove and I'd rather pay a shop to just replace it w/an OEM filter during normal service intervals.
Just bought my C7 a couple of months ago and from looking at some videos of replacing the air filter on the C7, it also looks like more trouble than it's worth for me to bother with and is something that I'd just let the shop replace w/an OEM filter when required.

Besides, many Corvette owners use after-market oil filters on their Corvettes. GM has acknowledged an has accepted this. Air filters are no different. One lawyer, with experience in the field, said that a MM argument will get you exactly nowhere if you have changed something from the original specs and didn't get specific approval from the car maker to do so.
What actually happens is that if GM decides to deny a warranty claim involving a non-standard part, they just say "No".
You argue more and they still say No.
If you try to sue them, they'll bring out a bevy of their engineers who will explain all the evil things that could have happened from your mod, and they are the experts on your engine. You over-oiled the filter, or under-oiled it, or it just doesn't work properly. It's because they don't want to set a precedent that people can do mods and retain warranty coverage. Especially on those expensive engines.
Now, I've not heard of anyone getting denied warranty coverage because on a non-standard air filter. It probably wouldn't happen. You might get some support from your local BBB, or not.
But if you look at all the fuss people are (correctly) making about the bent/cracked wheels, and how many do indeed have the problem, and how well the legal system is working for them, you begin to see how it would work for one lonely owner by himself.
And the wheels are a totally stock part.
When I take it do dealer for inspection and oil change...when the service mgr comes and tells me I need to replace air filter...I thought that I would be prepared and have a good aftermarket quality air cleaner at my disposal.
Sounds insane...but for some reason they always seem to find a little something that is not covered under warranty
Hoping to see a filtration comparison between the Attack Blue and the stock filter.
