Yes, I have the Jake intake on my 2019 GS. I primarily bought it for looks, but there is also a definite increase in intake noise. I searched around online and found it on sale, but it was still fairly expensive. I thought it was worth it to use a factory GM part.
Yes. Installed it on my Grand Sport also. Knowing full well there would only be an increase in volume and no horse power gain for the LT1 engine. But since my car came already equipped with other Jake paraphernalia. I thought it would be a nice addition. You spend a whack of money on these cars when you first get them. May as well do something that appeals to your liking. As mentioned above it does make things louder and I think it accents the Borla Atak mufflers I installed very well.

This filter was engineered to improve air flow . Add a PTB and a Corsa mid pipe and you can put the engineering to use . Plus great sound at WOT. Worried about price ?You will have no regrets .
Flow improvements are as follows: LT1 : 30% restriction reduction vs factory filter (0 hp gain) LT4: 28% restriction reduction vs factory filter (11hp gain)
AFE Pro 5R Filter: (don’t know, don’t care HP gain. Won’t notice 10hp on a 650hp motor anyway. Just wanted better flow and reusable filter)
Outflows Factory Air Filter by 42%
Deep, Open Pleats Allow for Increased Surface Area, Flow, and Dust Holding Capacity
I looked at both and went the $82 shipped to my door route with the AFE reusable filter. The window is cool, but with a $650+ price tag for my Z, it didn’t make sense. And I too would highly recommend the catless Xpipe (Corsa on mine)
Expect NO power gains, only a sound upgrade, and you’ll be a happy camper.

Reason: Spelling
Added mine after I took delivery of my 2019 Z06. Added it when I also installed the Borla X-pipe and Mamo ported throttle body. Can’t say I really noticed the HP bump but did notice a slightly different sound. It did help finish off the engine bay.
Do you need to take the entire intake apart to install it? Or is it just the airbox part?
No need to remove the entire intake, however, besides the stock air intake box, you do have to remove a few other things for the install.
The radiator upper air baffle extension has to come out. The right side hood strut has to be removed. The PCV tube has to be disconnected. The air intake tube has to be move out of the way. And the MAF sensor has to be disconnected, removed and swapped over to the new air box.
As you are putting everything back together, making sure you route the coolant tank surge line so that it does not interfere with the hood closing is important.
I am making it sound worse than it is, it is a pretty simple install and everything fits well. Just follow the instructions.
FYI, Last year, I paid $521 for mine, which included shipping.
So you guys got me interested in this intake and I happened to come across a decent deal, so I bought it. I’m a bit disappointed in the fit for an “OEM” unit. I bought an OEM Z28 intake for my camaro, and the fit was absolutely perfect. This, not so much.
For you guys that have installed this intake, can you please open your hood and check the hood vent plastic bezel for marks? It seems that the two areas I have circled are actually touching the hood vent bezel and marking it. Am I doing something wrong or are my expectations of a perfect fit too high? (I noticed the poster above me didn’t use the supplied antifreeze line bracket).
Thank you
