Default QuickJack Question

I am thinking of getting the 5000SLX unit when it goes on sale at Costco but that unit only comes with the pinch-weld blocks. For those who have a QuickJack - will the pinch-weld blocks work with the pucks or do you recommend buying as set of the standard blocks? There is a version that comes with both the short and tall blocks - would that be a better buy for use on a Corvette?

Thanks in advance for any inputs.

I don't know why those wouldn't work - I imagine you could turn them upside down to use the fully flat surface (i.e. with the pinch weld section resting on the QJ rather than the car) if you had any concerns about the pucks "spreading" the pinch weld section.

Not sure about the blocks but I used mine for the first time today adding an Xpipe and I couldn't be happier. I called Quckjack directly and they matched Costco pricing with free shipping so you might be able to get the regular blocks thrown in also, or at least the regular blocks included.

FYI - If your thinking of getting a C8 in the future, get the extended version. The SLX size is a little short to reach the jacking spots on the C8.

I also found the included blocks to be kinda small. I picked up a set of these to fill the trays https://www.carliftparts.com/product...-fj2428-set-4/
You can see the circular marks of the jack pucks.

We keep jack pucks on the car. Have not had one issue with pinch weld blocks but we do turn them upside down.

i have the costco version and it came with four shorter rubber blocks and four taller rubber blocks. I have pucks. It lifts perfectly using the shorter blocks.

The current Costco deal includes hangers and the pinch weld blocks. I just assumed they were in addition to the four short and four tall blocks it usually comes with.

There is a version with the four blocks, but it goes for more. My sister has stepped up to buy if for me as a major x-mas gift good for the next few years, so not sure I want to have her pay anything higher. What - am I actually being a good brother? There goes my reputation!
