Just did the axle back Corsa sport. Ordered the black tip but they were out, and the cost of the black tips were 235.00 extra. I thought i'd order the chrome and have the tips coated for 90.00 from a local shop, but they were 3 weeks out. I wanted to get into powder coating and though for the 75.00 harbor freight setup i'd try it myself.
Looks great! Let us know how it holds up. When I was looking to get mine powder coated I had a powder coater tell me he wouldn't do it because the powder coating wouldn't hold up. He said the tips get to hot and the regular powder coating will soften at temps around 400F. I had no idea how hot the tips can get so I went with a ceramic coating. $100.

The rear fascia that surrounds them would melt if that were true. I doubt they get anywhere near the curing temperatures for the powder coat.
Certainly nice, but correct prep and ultra hi-temp paint works too. I did so on my '18 without issue and it's been fine for the last four years (okay, I was lazy and didn't bother with taking things apart)
