I have a slight coolant leak on the 2014 Stingray. The drip seems to be close to the center of the bottom of the engine, near the front cross member. I can't raise the car high enough, to see where it's coming from, looking underneath.
Nothing is wet, from looking from the top of the engine. Any ideas where it could be coming from, before taking to the dealership?
That sounds like an issue with the water pump. The LT1/LT4 pump is closed in the back with a large box-like enclosure. Usually water pumps leak through the weep hole that is on the bottom backside of the pump. Not sure whether you will be able to check the C7 pump by getting your hand in there to feel if it is wet/damp or sticky. If you can and feel wet or sticky you are probably in line for a new pump.
Just a thought - are you sure it's coolant? Pag oil (a/c) can look a lot like the 'old green Prestone'. It can also show up from 'the middle/bottom' of the engine area. I know this from experience. Good luck, Paul
