When long tube headers are installed with cats, is it common to tune out the EGR and EVAP system so it doesn’t throw codes. The reason I’m asking is I am waiting on those 2 monitors to reset after clearing a code prior to an emissions test.
Thanks,
Mike

^^^ if you dont want to you really dont have to do nothing after you put the LT headers on the car, I did without the rear cats & didnt pull any code & no tune for a time due to other mods. But the car will run a little more lean for sure. But then again my car was a 2014 and was running more rich 7 the headers & TT full exhaust & bigger T.B. made it run leaner but with no problems at all.

These cars require a tune to eliminate the codes from popping up & to eliminate a possible lean condition
Now to answer your question, no those two do not get tuned out . They will reset after so many start stop cycles...A tuner will set the rear O2 sensors to not report... in Georgia you can have up to to sensors no reporting before you fail emmissons test
