Default Soler performance throttle body and controller

Anyone install theirs yet? I must say that it made the car feel more nimble to drive around town.

One thing I noticed however is that the engine likes to hang in the RPMs and not drop when I'm in manual shift mode (automatic). Before, when I downshifted, the car would decelerate and the exhaust would start crackling. Now, when I downshift, it hangs at the rpm and the car does not decelerate. Anybody else? Thanks

I bought the Throttle Body & Controller over Black Friday but my car is in a deep deep sleep. So I won't be getting to this until spring and snow is gone. Sorry OP. I have heard that Mike from Soler is very responsive, so give him a chance to help you out.

I too purchased the package deal but have not installed it yet. Hope to do so soon and can report back on how the car responds.

I have mine installed and use SP5 around town. I only drive in manual, so I understand what you are saying - Rev Matching. I have both the LT5 TB and TC from Soler. No issues (even without my required tune) with downshift rev matching. Sounds as good with/without TC. Hit up Mike, he might have an answer.

Received one however haven't hooked it up yet. Difficult to get down on my knees to work on the accelerator pedal for the connect. One of these days will give it a try as the stalled response right now sucks.

IIRC that is normal. You lose some of the backpressure when you decelerate; I noticed it on my GS M7. I assume when you say it hangs the RPM and won't decelerate, your are saying that it doesn't do it immediately as it did before. Call Soler if you are real concerned or need the engineering response, but this is normal behavior.

I just got mine, haven't installed yet. But I hope that I don't lose the crackling sound on downshifts. Thats one of my favorite parts of driving this car!

No loss of burbles and popping on my Z06/7 with the installation of the Soler throttle body and throttle controller.

i did at first, but they came back after the learning process. i had my TC unplugged for a bit because i was trying to track down a bog i had... one thing i learned is do not plug it back in while the car is on, it sent it into reduced power mode.

Thanks for the posts. I feel more assured. It's not a big 'problem' per say but yes it decelerates more slowly than it did before. Hopefully mine also comes back as yours did Travlee.

And yes I loved to decelerate with the paddles and hear the endless popping from the exhaust (borla axleback) - makes me want to get the extreme exhausts!

Would anyone recommend a particular company for getting tunes in the future? Does the LT1 respond well to tunes?
