Default Using C8 takeoff wheels?

Have been looking at a lot of wheels lately and have noticed that there are a lot of new or nearly new wheels that are being taken off the new C8's and are for sale. They seem to be 19's on the front and 20's on the rear. They are selling at a reasonable price and I kinda like the look of some of them. Was just wondering if anyone knew if they would fit the C7 corvettes and if they would possibly fit the Z06's. Have seen the priced anywhere from $600 a set to a little higher. Thinking about buying a set for spares. Thanks

They wouldn't fit your C7, centerbore is too small (66.9mm on C8, 70.3mm on C7).

C8 also uses 14mm diameter wheel studs, C7 is 12mm so I'm thinking even if the hub bore is the same not sure C7 wheels nuts will properly secure C8 wheels on a C7 vehicle.

Tony
C8 front wheels are also kinda narrow (8.5" wide) C7 Z06 is 10" wide. No way in hell would I ever go narrower in wheel width to drive around normally.

Thanks, figured as much, guess that's why the people that are changing their wheels are selling them so cheap, won't work on any other vehicle. Thought if they would fit, might buy a set for spares or maybe even use them for winter driving. I actually like the look of them, you can't buy replica wheels for what they are selling those for. Thanks anyway

Not condoning it nor would I do this but if you know a wheel place with machining equipment you could take C8 wheels and open up the hub bore to the C7 bore size and it would fit (ALA there is enough meat there to machine out the 3.4mm needed). Again not saying you should do this and you also have the issue of the too narrow front wheel and the difference in wheel stud size.

edit: Disregard PCD is also different (but very slight). C8 is 5x120mm C7 is 5x120.65mm or 5x4.75"

That would be true. Guess there just is no cheap or easy way out when it comes to wheels. I have a good set of nickel silver wheels on my Z06 that I just traded my black wheels that came on it for. Just seeing how inexpensive the C8 wheels were, guess that is the reason. If you take them off a C8 to put aftermarket wheels on, would have to sell to another C8 owner that wanted them. Probably wouldn't happen.
