Hello everyone. I'm looking for others experiences with the ACS diffuser install. Let me start with I am very cable of bolt on and custom installs. I utilized their provided template by centering the OEM screw holes as instructed. It did not align with the OEM diffuser body line. Once installed, the diffuser fins also do not align with the body line. though they do not align, they still have a great appearance. My major issue is that the outer driver side fin is not sitting flush in the center or near the top. I utilized the fin with the sticker as the outer as instructed.
Does anyone have experience with this install? If you have them I would love to see pictures post install. Thank you for any help!
That was all I could think of. Could just be the photo due to the curve of the facia One of mine doesn’t fit totally flush at the top. I was going to try to snug it up sometime but never have.

I had them done by my mechanic and he pointed out as he installed them of the slight "misalignment" which is due to manufacturing not installation....went ahead with it and enjoy the look despite the minor imperfection...and a fraction of the price of a full rear replacement. He also pointed out there are a couple of electronic modules behind there and you need to be aware when installing them (worth the 100 bucks to have him do it...I would have done some serious damage)
And it probably depends on the placement of the template. No one probably does it with the exact, same, placement. I think mine are an about 1/8th higher than these. But I don't think these are wrong. And I'm not sure mine are right. lol

I had a similar issue with misalignment. Usually the ACS stuff is spot on but in this case I was not happy. I went and bought some paintable black caulk at Homies Depot... I made a small hole in the tip and filled in the gaps. On the sides it’s almost invisible. On top I painted it Carbon Flash and the space disappeared. It took a lot of swipes with a wet finger to get the excess caulk off but filled in nicely.

I believe those modules are the Sirius XM receiver/antenna and the GPS antenna/receiver. Diffuser looks great. Did the OP contact ACS about this issue?
Did you test fit each individual fin before you applied the drill hole template? Since each fin is specific to one spot did you see any fit issues before drilling? If they fit correctly then, you should be able to adjust the metal retainer clips and maybe refit it.

Good to know. I wanted to make sure it wasn't an installation problem. I agree that these are less than adding a full diffuser however, at $500 for 5 pieces of plastic I didn't expect fitment problems. Thank you for the reply.
If you need to adjust them you could make the holes slightly bigger and use thin body washer
Thank you for the recommendation. I am slightly more concerned with the fact that the outer drivers side fin is not sitting flush. From the pictures I've found they all seem to sit below the diffuser body line.

I did as closely as I could to where they should sit with the template. The problem is they somewhat conform when you tighten the screws so it was hard to tell if they would truly fit as expected. I've also heard great things about ACS so I did expect perfect fitment. I have their XL F&R rock guards and love the quality. I reached out to ACS as well. I'm not bashing them in anyway but I wanted feedback of others experiences with the install.

Extreme Online sells a similar kit for $100. I put them on my Grand Sport when I owned it. The alignment was not perfect when you look closely, but overall I was satisfied with the appearance.

Looks good. That’s why I expect perfection from these fins. There are multiple models around $100 that I could have purchased.
With the ACS fins, It took me three attempts (yes, I’m a bit OCD when it comes to the car) to get the fit just right. it’s not 100% perfect, but good enough. I found that setting and tightening the top screw on the fins first, helped with the overall alignment. The entire rear plastic piece has a lot of flex and give. In hindsight, removing the entire panel would properly have made things easier. The left side was a total pain compared to the right side. I did do one cheat. I noticed that the overall fit of the fins improved when I pulled the panel down slightly from the rear where the two screws go on each side of the panel. So I added a plastic 1/4 inch thick washer/spacer on each side in between the panel and the support bracket to act as a spacer. The screws are long enough to handle it. This seems to make everything a bit tighter. I don’t believe it will harm anything. Even with the plastic spacer there is still plenty of flex left. I’m done with this project.

They reason I asked is because I had the same concern before I installed mine. In the package, all four sort of look the same, but once you look closely and then test fit them on the rear fascia before using the template, you can see the subtle differences between the driver/passenger sides and the outside/inside fins. I know on one of the fins (forgot which one), I had a similar gap showing on the curved section, but before re-securing the rear fascia, I was able to go in and adjust the fins slightly my moving one of the metal locking clips.
Overall, I'm really happy with the quality of the ACS Diffuser fins and the Carbon Flash finish is dead on accurate.

I was moving the clips slightly but it seems you only get about an 1/8 or so. I’ll check again to se if I can move it around and get a better fit. You’re car looks great!
