Default Another ARH LT Install

Well guys, I am adding another successful ARH LT install to the list. I went through forum sponsor Juiced for my set of headers. They had the best price. I would love to say I had a great experience with them but it was lower than average. Really the biggest issue was communication. I ordered my headers, received confirmation, and then silence for two weeks. So I called for an update and was told "I will send you an email later". I had this same phone conversation four times. In the end, the headers arrived at my house.

Quality? ARH did their homework. These things fit great. I am missing the clips for the secondary/cat O2 extensions from my hardware package, but I have enough spare material in my shop that I made my own. Didn't pull the starter, didn't pull the steering shaft. No rubs anywhere. I don't care for how the right primary O2 sensor plug needs to be ziptied/remounted but I understand that with the added length of the header this isn't avoidable. At the end of the install, I am very happy I spent the money for what I perceive to be one of the best headers on the market for these cars. Also, I did this on jack stands...

I also want to thank everyone who has previously made an install post. Your info made my work easy. My only snag - when torquing the tunnel brace, the two forward (angled) fasteners didn't like 20ftlbs. I need to pull them and helicoil the threaded hole. The other fasteners torqued to 20lbs no problem.

For the PITA nut on the manifold to downpipe I chucked my Harbor Freight 13mm 6pt deep socket in the lathe and cut it down. Popped it on my craftsman 3/8 ratchet and broke the nut loose. Then used a ratcheting box end to remove the nut. BTW - I had the opportunity to let all of the fasteners soak in PB overnight...

For the sound - this is fantastic. The car makes a proper noise when accelerating, almost sounds unmuffled when accelerating in sport/track. When cruising with the NPP closed, it is almost as quiet as stock. There is a little more noise at the front of the car, but a conversation is just as comfortable as stock and Tour mode.

Thanks again guys!

Great job!!! I put Kooks on mine, but would have been just as happy with ARH. Both are top notch in my opinion. With that said, the resulting sound is well worth the cost and busted knuckles. They should have come from the factory with this setup.

I had a similar situation with Juiced. Just asked for a refund...

Also does the kit require 02 extentions?

The kit came with O2 extensions for the after cat sensors. They were longer than needed, I have some of it ziptied in a bundle behind the trans heat shield.
