Default Average mileage?

Just turned in the c7 after almost 3 years took a picture of my trip computer. I’m guessing I have a heavy foot and most of those are metro nyc miles

Yup, heavy foot. Mine averages about 25 mpg on 93 and 19-20 on E85. I do get on it some but probably not as much as you. Ha

I've got 21.5 avg. over a total of 6,300 miles with the mileage never being reset.

I have averaged 19.3 after 17k in mileage (2nd owner here) with an average speed of 40 MPH. The numbers drop drastically anytime your sitting still in traffic since that yields 0 MPG / MPH.

My driving habits are a daily commute in mixed conditions (pre-COVID), a few long highway trips at 28 MPG minus several 6 MPG track days.

I pay zero attention to my mpg, as I see it only when scrolling through the info screen. If I remember correctly, it is around 15-16 mpg. I bought the car as a fun 2nd car and stepping on the gas is fun.

Thats just wrong - this car was meant to be stepped on- anyone can drive 150 miles on route 20 at 75 and get good mileage

18.1 mpg for me, city and highway combined.

That's calculated with actual gallons used and miles driven.

You guys are funny!

I use to get 38 mpg in my Prius and I also had an EV and have no way to compute the mileage for that.

As for my C7 and other ICE cars, I don't give a SH*T what the mileage is as long as there's a gas station nearby when I need MORE GAS!!! LOL!

I don't know and don't care.
As long as it runs and looks GOOD, I'm happy.

my sentiments exactly. I do not recall even checking what the mpg is on the car.

Checking the mileage is good way of understanding how well the vehicle is functioning. Fouled plugs, dirty air cleaner, under inflated tires... many things could cause poor fuel economy. Ignoring how your car is performing seems short sighted just because you monitor the mileage doesn't mean you drive like a wimp in fact I knew my track skills were getting better because my mileage dropped

I'm monitoring how my C7 is performing each and every time I drive it. Now if it starts to performing poorly THEN I check the things you mention. I've never needed MPG to tell how a vehicle is performing.
