Hi,
Hopefully not too bad a question. 2014 stingray. Does anyone know the thread size of the ground point under the hood next to the alternator? I’m putting in a mild to wild switch and I’d rather ground it without having to unbolt what’s already there and just using a nut over the existing one. Thanks
If no on replies any time soon, and you really don't have any metric nuts laying about (apparently not), pick-up a few different ones from a hardware store that look close and one will surely fit. Save the extras for something else next time.
Get your metric socket set out and see which socket fits the nut.
It’s a 13mm socket that fits over the nut but that doesn’t tell you the thread size. Is it a m8, m10 etc. rather than buying a whole bunch of different ones I was hoping someone had already learned what what thread pattern to look for.

yeah that’s what it’s looking like I am going to have to do. It looks like a m8 or m10 diameter but I’m not sure coarse or fine.
Measure diameter of bolt. Push a piece of clay, putty, cardboard and you can determine thread count. Might even look up in online parts manual and use to search # and will most likely tell you size.
