You aren't kidding. I hate people working on my vehicles, even for an oil changes.
Reasons:
* tech's are human and try short-cuts, go quickly for flat-rates
* Oop's, tech didn't realize that his/her Harley belt buckle gouges the paint
* Oop's, tech strips the aluminum treads or forgets to tighten the plug/bolts
* Oop's, tech scratches the door panel getting in and out.
Besides that, I am fine with others working on my dream.
Do you get upset when you get that explanation, "Sorry, we could not duplicate the problem"?

Separation anxiety - not really. I have to say the dealers around here do a good job when it comes to fixing the car without messing it up in the process.
Being in snowy NJ, I haven’t driven my car in the last 6 weeks, and I really miss driving her. Sometimes I actually daydream about nice spring weather and going for a ride.
I have a local dealer who I have never had an issue with, no scuffs/scratches/scratches/joy rides/stripped threads, you get the idea
Local dealer service dept, takes good care of me. Service writer takes good care of me and has a loaner for me if needed. Tech and I are friendly and also takes good care of me.

Same here. The dealer service department I deal with is competent and professional. Luckily, I haven't had many problems with any Corvette I've ever owned, sans my first (a 2001) and my third (a 2009). So I've never had to leave my car with a dealer for more than a day or two.
