Was thinking of putting front and rear dash cams in my c7,i was wondering if anyone has installed one, i cant figure where you hide wire since top can be removed, dont really want wires hanging all over dash and windshield. thanks in advance

prolly not helpful but people power their radars from the mirror.
When I installed a backup camera on an older car I used the power wire going to the map lights.
There are many threads with this so a search will produce many with pictures.
Basically, you run the rear camera's wire under the halo's headliner, down the B pillar, across the driver's or pass sill, up through the A-pillar and across the top of the windshield plastic trim panel to the front camera.
The power for the front camera goes down through the same A-pillar route to your power source.
I personally went with Blackvue DR900s-2CH, but this is some years ago so there are newer models.

I installed the BlackVue 900s 2ch in my 17Z coupe. It’s not a bad job. I ran the rear camera wires through the same conduit as the defrost into the roof. Then the wires run down the B pillar under the door sill and back up the B pillar to the front camera. It’s a very clean installation.

but from camera to windshield you cant tuck wires because top comes off or you see wires along top of windshield till you get to pillers. by the way how do you like it, im looking at the blackvue 750 lte and did you use power magic or another battery when in parking mode

Reason: add to question
A very clean install and this OBD connection makes it easy to power. I didn’t add the battery backup as the car is garaged and doesn’t sit outside parked very long in anywhere I worry about. It shuts off at 12v battery voltage. The battery backup does fit nicely under the seat from what I’ve seen though if you need one.

You are not going through the top from the back to the front. Like I said, look for the threads with pictures. From the back you are going to go over to the side (door window), down the pillar, across the bottom door sill and up.
The cloth headliner thingy near the rear hatch pops out enough so you can easily fish the wire for the rear camera over to the door B pillar, down the side of the back of the door. The you pop the door sill and run it to the front of the door, and up the a-pillar, and over to the center of windshield where the mirror is located. Then you run the wire for the rear camera down where you mount the front camera.
For the rear camera mount, in that thread there was a forum member that show how he mounted the rear camera on the halo headliner without making any hole or use any tape or glue. He recommended using super strong small magnets. I did the same. Placed the small magnet, about the size of quarter inside the headliner, and it attracts the metal mount that comes with the rear camera and holds it tight without any permanent damage.
It is easy to do, hard to explain. Look for the threads with the pictures.
The easiest way to run the wires is to just remove the door sill and panels all the way up to the headliner. You only need a panel removal tool and a torx bit to remove the visor and maybe a philips screwdriver. It’s been awhile since I did the install. I’ve had it off a few times and it’s very simple.
