Thank you, Jeff! This is great. Thank you for the effort.

Interestingly I also thought of origami.

Right on! Quite a mishmash they threw together.

They developed a completely different car, but named it a Corvette. That would be a good laugh, except it's true. Might as well laugh anyway.. I'm glad that I bought a real Corvette, with a manual transmission and a real complete convertible top.

Maximum impact for me is the c7 ZR1 not the c8. Just my opinion. Paul

"Completely abandoned what it was."

Truer words were never spoken. I don't have C8 envy; I just don't like the way it looks.

I'm going to hang onto my C7 and wait for the C9.

I completely agree with Foose's assessment and love his re-styling. I would buy THAT C8 in a heartbeat. I've owned C4's, C5's, C6's and a have owned a C7 for 4 years now. This is the first time in my Corvette buying history that I don't crave the next gen. Would love to see a refreshed C8 or a C9 go in the direction that Foose headed.

I guess the Genovation GXE was one as well. Maybe 205.6mph isn't fast enough for some folks.

IMHO, the C8 is a design mishmash. The rear and interior look cluttered and ugly. The black slash on the side is an eyesore. It looks like a tacked on piece of black plastic and a deal breaker for me. It would be nice to see some rounded edges ala Ferrari. But the designers seemed to be shooting for a kind of “poor man’s” exotic car look. I like the mid engine design but there’s something about it that makes it look watered down and cheap. It looks very much like the plastic car that it is. My verdict: Meh.

The heavy creases and oversized black scoops do create the look of a poor man's exotic. Well put.
