About to pull trigger on a MGW shifter unless someone knows of a better option have only read positive things
I had a B&M on my c5 and what a chore to get in reverse in a parking lot.... switched to the MGW...night and day difference. The MGW was shifting like glass

I was in same boat with my C7. Had MGW in my C6 and it was great. Waiting on arrival of Shifter for my C7. If "only as good" as the one I had in the C6 this will be a winner!

See if promo code PATRIOT still works for 5% off (saves shipping). If it doesn't work, ask them if there are any prom codes.... I'm willing to bet there is
I’m not brave enough to do it myself. What would it cost, installed by a competent mechanic?
Trust me, this looks harder than it is. I'd imagine $100 would do it for an install (takes me under an hour).
To the OP, the MGW is an incredible upgrade and an awesome short(er) shifter. The total lack of any slop/play in this system is outstanding and the machining/engineering tolerances are in the order of aerospace. You will notice a little more effort needed to get into gear, that is just the physics of the shorter throw and most like that. I love the system.
Put one in my Cobra Mustang. It was a little notchy, but shifts were much more positive and controlled. Throw was also shorter. Overall a very positive experience. For the money, one of the better mods I made.
Even after my latest and last Vette purchase; I even said in previous posts here that I finally found a stock manual so good, I wasn't going to add it BUT after driving a C7 that had one added I had one installed (you should see the box of old stock shifters I have lying around somewhere). Made the mistake of trying to install the first one myself, bad idea....enough grey area in installing it I ended up having the car towed to my trusty mechanic (Mark at Titus-Will in Olympia, WA).

I didn't hate the stock shifter, but the MGW is the best mod done to my car. I loved it on my c5, went with a different brand on c6, and came back to MGW (with race ****). So good.
