android auto

I have a 2014 c7 sting ray and i keep reading to put nav,on my screen ti use android auto and the will put waze on the screen i have done that and nothing happens.a coule of radio shops have told me the 2014 will not accept that info. my phone is android and have been told its not hook up with my gm radio without spending lots of money for parts and labor. is this right???

I dont believe AA was included until '16.

OP, your OEM radio probably isn't equipped with andriod auto/ apple car play

Late 2016. Not sure what the cut in date was. I had a mid cycle (Oct build) '16 without it. When it became available on later production '16s my dealer downloaded software to upgrade the existing system at no charge.

You can upgrade the HMI module to get AA/CP. Many threads on this subject. Some talented members, were able to program the HMI themselves and with a used HMI did it on the cheap @Jeff V.
For the rest of us mortals, Text Mr. Anthony Brush 919 995-9523 and he can do his magic. The install is not terrible after he ships you the properly programmed parts.
