I finally purchased and installed the Soler throttle controller. Simple plug and play install, takes less than 15 minutes. All I can say is WOW!! Makes all the difference in the world! Now my C7 Z51 flies when lightly pressing the accelerator, instead of having to press it hard. This $100 mod has totally transformed the car. Wish I would have known about it sooner. The standard acceleration curve pretty much sucks on the C7. This part makes the car what it should have been from the factory. If you don't have a throttle controller, you need to get one...it truly transforms the driving experience. I honestly feel no need to upgrade the throttle itself (althought I know that would also improve things). Couldn't be any happier - best money ever spent!
I agree with you. I installed the Vitesse throttle controller into my Z06 M7 and it makes a huge difference in starting off.... much better throttle response...

Have both the throttle body and controller that needs to be installed on my car. Everything I have read sings the praises for both items. Got to get busy and get them installed.

I've been kicking this around for a few months.....so you don't necessarily need the actual throttle bodies for this to work correct.....just need the controller? I've been looking at the JMS Pedalmax chip a lot of great reviews about on their website....it seems like its the same concept only it's more expensive at $289.

You can use either the controller or the throttle body but the two together are wonderful.
The Soler Throttle would be a first mod I would install if not for extended warranty issues.
Your dealer response to mods will vary.... But the folks here selling extended warranties told me that devices like this and the forum favorite (the Range device) would void your extended warranty.
SUX... as the Soler Throttle sounds like it resolves that slight hesitation that seems to come with many "drive by wire" systems.

Two things: The throttle body controller controls the throttle body position sensor, not the actual throttle body. It can be set to OE. I doubt that would cause a warranty issue. The throttle body itself: new from Soler is a ported OE throttle body. Other than the LT5 version, not one tech would notice unless they were tearing down your car. Even then, doubtful (other than the optional "Soler" stencil). I quit worrying about warranty on the drivetrain on day 2. Such a simple car to fix. The other components of the warranty are covered just fine.

As ImpliedConsent posted, the TB is unremarkable unless a dedicated search or work on the TB were being done.
If voiding the warranty is an issue, it's a 10 minute job to swap out the TB and the TC can be disconnected and wire hidden in less time than it takes to read this sentence... AFAIK it leaves no trace of its existence in the car's OBD system.
I installed the TB, then after a couple of months added the TC. Excellent product backed by outstanding customer service!
The TB all but eliminated the mushy, indistinct throttle response that caused me to have more clutch engagement stalls in six months than in 50 years of driving MTs... The TC brought the car to life, making it what it shoulda been off the assembly line (and the response can be tailored!). I told Mike he should market it as a "g-force multiplier" for the effect on the car. Just to remind myself how good it is, I switch it back to the OE setting, but not for long...
So, to be clear I can purchase the TC and this device is just plug and play? I really, don't want to mess with the engine but would like to get rid of the hesitation?
Another question, some say Vitesse and some prefer Solar? I am not mechanically sound either way but think I can handle plug and play.

I have the Vitesse in my C7 and had same in prior C6. Soler was not on market back then.
If I were buying now, the Soler is the best buy (less expensive by far!) and apparently they both do the same thing, and the Soler is more easily installed as it requires no programming, which was not a big deal with Vitesse. I've had zero issues with mine, and the difference is remarkable.

Yep -- you don't need to install the throttle body. Just the controller. For most of us I wouldn't even recommend the throttle body because just the controller by itself will make a night and day difference. If there is only "mod" you ever do, this is the one. Soler is so inexpensive and works beautifully. You will wonder why you hadn't done it before.. your car will drive 1000% better.
Is that different than getting a base tune with a SCT tuner?
I am pretty sure a tune addresses the throttle lag.
I know the tuner is more expensive , but the benefit of adding about 25HP with a base tune is appealing.
A tune is also plug and play with no hardware, and it can be set back to factory at any time.
