One day my windows worked fine, the next they won’t roll down. They still index properly but will not roll down. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions?
You could check the fuses located in the rear compartment.
Thanks I’ll try that. Seems strange though, I’d think if the windows were indexing ok that they’d still be able to go up or down. Just the same I’ll check it, thanks
The easiest thing to check would be the window switches. If the windows index, the window motors are getting power so the fuses are good. Communications also would seem to be OK with the window modules.
Do the passenger door controls raise and lower the passenger window? If so, really points to the driver's door window switch.
Looks like rear fuse #1 powers the windows, fuse #14 powers the Exterior Rearview Mirror switch & driver's window switch, Fuse #36 Passenger Window Switch. These are 2019 fuse numbers - check your owner's manual or fuse block diagram for the same descriptions - fuse numbers have changed a bit from year to year.
So it is may be possible for the windows to index even if the switches don't work. They are not directly wired, but go through the network and BCM(?). You should have 12V on the back of each window switch with the ignition in ACC or ON.
Of course there are trouble codes if you have the correct scan tool...
DTC Description
DTC B316B or B317A Driver/Passenger Window Switch
DTC B3205 or B3210 Driver/Passenger Window Motor

Ron
passenger door doesn’t work either. Checked all the fuses, they’re good. Not really sure where to turn to next. It’s crazy. One day they worked, the next they don’t. ????
Loose connector or wire somewhere. The harness going from the car into the door gets a lot of flexing. I would check voltage at the window switches and unplug and replug any connectors on the switches or cables coming from the car body into the door. Beyond that, you really need someone who can read the codes and do a proper diagnosis.
