Default Passenger Quarter Panel Replacement

I totally cracked my passenger quarter panel attempting to replace the upper vent with a Z06 vent. The fender was glued about 4 inches and I basically had to destroy the panel to get it to release. Anyway, my question is can I replace the quarter panel without removing the rear fascia. I have had the rear fascia off before and it appears the rear fascia simply slips into the quarter panel at three clips. Any answers to this? Thanks, John

Almost certain you need to remove fascia to remove panel. But maybe just pull that side off enough to remove panel without taking fascia totally off. I had to cut through the glue like you did to install vent on one side . It was a challenge. Good luck.

Good luck with the replacement. I guess I got lucky when I added Z06 style upper vents to my base car - the panels slipped out easily from the window area and the install went smoothly from there.

I spent about 4 hours trying to get that damn thing loose. The tips of my fingers are still aching. I even cut the old vents out with a dremel tool so I could get my fingers under the area to be pulled. Still would not budge. Ended up cracking the thin area above the vent. Finally had to CUT the top of the fender and take it off piece by piece. Once off, determined it was glued with the black stuff right in the middle about 4 inches long. I just need to stop fixing things that aint broke!!!
