I bought and carry the tow hook. Plus, I plan to stay out of ditches!!

I use the Katech jack pucks when I need to lift up my ZR1 (and my former C6 Z06). I usually use the shorter blocks when lifting my ZR1 using the QJ. If I drive my car first up on my homemade ramps I can use the taller blocks to lift up the car. I also have 4 pieces of wood cut to fit in the QJ frame pockets that I sometimes use to lift the car using only the wood and jacking pucks. If the car is on the ramps I can use the wood and lifting blocks with the pucks to get more height lifting up the car with the QJ.
I did this video last year might show the pucks and blocks I'm using to lift up the car.
I use Hockey Pucks for over 30 years with no problems. I do no like "leave in" pucks and afraid they would hit something !! Plus they use the T-Hook slots so if your car has to be Flatbeded and if they do not have over the wheel straps how do they tie your car down ? Do you want J-Hooks used on your suspension ? Not me !!!! I have been a tow truck driver for over 35 Years and want to tow your car with no damage !!!! Just my way of thinking !
I installed aluminum red pucks. They are easily installed with all 4 tires on the ground using a hex key. I recommend leaving the hex key in the vehicle just in case you need to remove 2 of the pucks for the benefit of a tow truck someday. I keep mine in a tool kit that I stow in the rear cubby.

This is why I haven't used the leave in pucks, although I suppose they could be removed at the time if needed.
Any puck plus the smaller rubber blocks supplied by QJ work great. Mine is lowered all the way on stock bolts and has side skirts. Best advice is to make sure the QJ lifts are straight and at the same front to back location on each side (i.e. the front of the rail is same distance behind the front tire on both sides). If they aren't square to the car and lined up correctly they will not lift evenly. A little off is OK but make sure they are close. Good luck.
I just bought the reverse logic removable pucks. You can install them two ways, temporarily before driving to the garage, and then remove them when back home, or install in your garage for self service work. They also sell an extension if needed. Looks to be a high quality product.

I also have the Reverse Logic pucks. I use those in the garage and have a second set up low profile snap in pucks that I keep in the car.
I put the pucks on while the car was on the ground. The RPI Puck are a tight fit, so I put a dab of lubricant on the hooks and used a high mass hammer (lead) to knock them in the rest of the way, from under the car, on the ground.
My '19 Z06 is lowered and only has 3.25" of ground clearance and I was able to install them with the car on the ground. Small annoyance, but not difficult.
Sadly, I only have the quickjack. No floor jack or jack stands. I’ll figure out something.
unless your car is very low you should be able to put the pucks in with it setting on the ground. Then slide the QuickJack under the car. That’s what I do. I use hockey pucks with an eye ring screwed into them. I don’t leave them in, just while using jack or QJ.

Exactly! That’s what I use. Cheap and work great. Never a problem.
