I went out to my garage after I posted my reply and mine is exactly like the one in your photo.
RFID stands for radio frequency identification. RFIDs are used in a lot of things such as car key fobs, passports, credit cards. This is why there is such a big market for sleeves and wallets that shield the signal from close range scanners.
Glad to be of help. As a side-note, I keep my fobs in a metal box when in the house so that the signal can't be scanned from outside. Some scanners can pick up the signal from a garage length distance. Also, it is wise to carry a fob in some kind of sleeve that prevents a person from walking by you and capturing the signal. Once they have that they can get in your car and drive it. I keep my passport in a sleeve designed just for them because they contain enough info for someone to scan you at the airport and send their cohorts to rob your home while you are away. I actually know people who have had a car stolen from a long term parking lot at a port and had their house robbed while on their cruise.

Got me to wondering if a similar sticker was on my car - nope. But I do not live in a gated community or other such things that I would need such a sticker. Interesting though.

My guess would be that the thieves used address information in the car (registration, Nav history, etc) to find the home. But probably we'll never know for sure.
More than likely that is what they did. I don't keep my registration in the cars, I make reduced copies and keep them in my wallet for that very reason. A lot of people don't realize that if a car thief has your address and probably your garage door opener, he would have easier access to your house.
The danger with the passport info is that it has your date of birth among the info. That is a critical part of being able to steal someone's identity.
