I'm pretty sure that, with the Stingray grill, the section in front of the receiver pops out so the tow hook can be installed.
The Z06 grill has larger openings which allows the tow hook to fit through the openings.

I see the pop out piece the the receiver threads are small, like pinkie size, not thumb size. Wonder if there is an adaptor piece. Also, how do you remove the rear bumper access tow cover?
Yes, Mine is a Z51. If it screws into the rear, which seems easier to start the threads, it will work in the front. Can't imagine different sizes frt to rear.
Its very hard to start the threads. I wound up calling the guys who made my tow hook and they insisted that it will work. Finally ordered a tap and die to chase the threads and clean off the paint on the threads. Still hard to get the proper angle to start the threads, but it does work. A little anti seize helps too.
I only use the tow hooks when on the track.
Just be sure not to cross thread it. Hardened steel into aluminum receiver requires a somewhat delicate touch.

I was reading a thread here that said if you use these tow hooks to pull the car up on a flatbed you could mess up the car. If this is true i need to get those straps.

I used a tow hook to winch my car onto the trailer for a couple of years. It doesn't mess up the car. However, a center mounted winch will pull the right front of the car toward the center of the trailer so you need to steer the car onto the trailer. If the winch is mounted directly to the floor of the trailer it will also pull down the front of the car as it gets closer to the winch. I now use a bridle to pull the car onto the trailer since it pulls the car straight onto the trailer and doesn't pull the front down.
When you say bridle do you mean the straps to the frame. I heard if the winch is high, it can pull the car up. I think the tow hooks can be good to anchor the car from moving once on the flatbed.
