About 5 years ago i was able to get an original window sticker by writing someone and paying x amount. Does anyone know who that would be; or any place I can get the duplicate window sticker for my car?

VJ's correct NCM's is just like the original, (example below) they also provide buildsheets. The $10 document is just lists your window sticker line items and looks nothing like an original window sticker. Just depends what you are looking for.
I'm the original owner of my '17 GS. If I were to sell the car to one of the online buyers, is it customary that the window sticker and build sheet(s) go with the car? I would include the docs if it were a private sale.

When I bought my C7 (used), there was no window sticker with the car. Ordered the window sticker/build sheet package from the National Corvette Museum. It’s a good service they offer.
I ordered a window sticker and build sheet from NCM right after I bought my 2016 Corvette. It was a used car with 1000 miles on it and no window sticker. I had them laminate both. I am very pleased with it.

If you want to keep them, I would. They are usually only wanted by enthusiasts.

You can take your original window sticker and build sheet to Staples and get color copies for about $0.25 each.
Then you can keep a copy or the original if you wish.
I got the build and window sheet from Corvette Museum laminated.. love them The dealer folded my original window sticker and had put it in with all the car documents grrr
