Just bought this car, has 29k on it. Mods are msd intake, vararam cai, btr3 cam and tune of course. Car feels super fast. But if you dead stop. And try to take off hard. Instant wheel hop. And I’m not trying to break anything. Tires are pretty much done for. Ordered a new set. Hoping this fixes the problem. But is this normal. I’ve had several c6. None had any issues as this. Any advise?

Tire pressure was 28 29 when I checked them. As I was talking them off. And driver side inner tire had a huge knot on it. Maybe the pressure. Colder temps and the knot all had got together and caused issues? I’ll know more Thursday. As tires will be in.

Not a normal issue that I can recall. See how the new tires do in addressing the problem and go from there.

Are you in tour mode? Traction control is pretty invasive in tour, and it will cause wheel hop. Switch to sport or turn off traction control, and it should let you spin the tires if you lose grip.

I'd like to look at the GMVIS report, and Carfax. Did you have this car checked out before buying?

My C7 doesn't ever do that.

Car fax was all good. Just regular oil changes, detail and wash, tires rotated. I checked out everything. Just drove it with the lot guy. But I didn’t do a full launch when test driving. I should have!!Everything’s so smooth accept for the launch. Got the new tires on today. Just took it out. Still hops so bad!! Here’s a pdr.

I’ve tried with and without tc and ah. In sport and tour. All the same results.

I usually like to let the car roll in motion before beaning the throttle. Much less harsh on the components in my opinion

Sounds like it's a tire issue since the differential is solidly bolted in place so it shouldn't have much movement. Or your shocks could be worn out.

Crazy to think a shock would be worn out at such low miles. But possible. And there brand new tires. Maybe to much power for rubber bands I’m clueless now.

Yeah. If you wanted to do burnout shows then you would have had better luck in a Camaro, Mustang, Charger, Challenger, etc. This is a sports car not a peel-out showboat.

So your saying garage it 363 days a year. And drive it to dinner 2 days a year? And when I get out in what’s supposed to be American muscle. Just slightly drive it around. Not doing any launches even tho they installed launch control? Don’t try out the new technology Bc it’s all s%#t from Chevy? Lol. It could be torque tube. I won’t know more till tomorrow. Lift is ore occupied tonight.
