I've got Continental Extreme Contacts on my Z06 and they ride much nicer than the Cup2s that came on it. Don't perform near as well, but the car is my daily and if I ever track it I'll swap out the wheels and tires for a track setup.
I agree with the Continental Extreme Contacts, my car rides much smoother and quieter than it did with the Michelin run flats. Just made up a little emergency road kit in case it was needed, hopefully won't need it.
My 2016 Z51 came with summer-only Michelins. Even though they only had 1000 miles on them when I bought it I swapped them off for Michelin A/S 3+, an all-season run flat tire. The difference in ride quality is night and day. The Contis were about $150 cheaper but I opted for the run flats for the peace of mind. I'm sure I would have been equally happy with either as compared with summer only Michelins.
For a smoother ride, go for non-runflat, all season, and the tallest sidewall that you're willing to accept.
the OEM setup with low profile run flats isn't ideal when it comes to ride quality. So different wheels and tires, plus putting the mag-ride into Touring mode smooths things out nicely.
I agree with Bird67.
I have a 2017 Grand Sport. Last year I put the Michelin AS3+. The ride is better but still hard. The steering is wonderful, one-hand relaxed driving.
Continental ExtremeContact DWS-06 Plus Non-Run-Flat tires will rides even better. I would love to ride in a C7 with the Conti's to compare.
I checked the tire pressure when I got my car used and found the dealer had put 45 psi in all four tires. What a difference in ride increasing the pressure 10-15 psi can make!

Lots of people claim that the Michelin AS3+ runflats have a softer ride than the factory PSS runflats. I haven't experienced that.
The first thing we did after buying our 2017 was to get a spare set of factory wheels/sensors, and install new AS3+ runflats for winter use. We swap between the two sets of tires every Spring/Fall, and keep the pressures at 30 psi cold. After doing the swap eight times now, I can't detect any improvement in ride when using the AS3+. Our car is a 2017 Z51 with Mag Ride and the computer upgrade from several years ago. Both sets of tires have about the same miles (15k-20k each).
What is the best TRACTION tires for 2019 C7 Z51 above factory run flats..........so far I love the traction on my factory original tires.
With traction control off with stability off as well, these tires perform well. Like to know if there are any tires fitting factory rims that give better traction than original.
OP, I think you're going to have to do what I and many others had to do. With so many varying opinions you just have to toss a dart and choose among the obvious contenders. In theory NRF, with softer sidewalls, should give the best ride. Certainly that was true when RF tires first hit the market. Technology has improved and the ride difference today is for many imperceptible. What made the choice for me was (a) the number of people who went with the RF 4S Michelins and loved them, and (b) the terrifying image of a driver for AAA hooking up my C7 and dragging it onto a flatbed. The odds that the tow would damage the C7 seemed unacceptably high for me...I'd rather have the ability to drive it to my Indy for tire replacement than have to have it towed or flatbedded there...my $0.02.
