So recently I managed to buy the catless Borla X-Pipe 60547. I have it installed along with a knock off range device, and the fuze pulled. Everything else is stock on the car.
While I definitely noticed a difference in sound at the 2000-3000 RPM range. I was wanting a bit more consistently aggressive tone from my exhaust. I have researched a handful of different options that may give me the results I am looking for.
If I was going to change anything it would just be the mufflers and tips. I'm honestly not ready to change the headers just yet.
Which leads me to my question. Between the various different muffler options or even a muffler delete I would consider. What may give me the biggest bang for my buck? All while trying to retain the NPP feature. If I needed to remove that it's okay, but I figure it's a nice feature to have when needed.
Be careful with a muffler delete. Noise is fun, but the drone will drive you insane. Also, if you want to hear as many options and combos of various exhaust systems as you can imagine, I'd recommend holding off on a decision and visiting Corvettes at Carlisle in late August.

I don't doubt the drone would be very annoying I remember on my old mustang it was atleast. I've been told different experiences with a delete. Some say it has a drone at 2500-3000 range. Others say it has none at all so thanks for the recommendation. Oh I had no idea what corvettes at Carlisle even was so thanks for that info too.
Billy Boat Fusion mufflers will retain the NPP. I had their Route 66 exhaust on my C6 (non NPP) and loved it. Looked good and sounded deeper than stock. I haven't actually heard the Fusions on a C7, but they will be louder and retain the NPP to control drone.
Sound is so personal, some manufacturers keep NPP, some do not, and some offer both setups. Just depends on what your budget it and what sound your after. The Borla xpipe will pair up with the ATAK mufflers perfectly.
I would definitely keep NPP even if I installed aftermarket exhaust. I have a base car w/o NPP. I bought a pair of NPP mufflers and run them w/ the valves mechanically loked at about 1/2 open. Seems to be a good compromise but there are times I'd like to be able to close them w/ a switch. I am looking at building a controller but sure wish I had the OE system.

So I'm glad you responded to my post. I've been playing around with a theory. From what little I understand there are two sets of valves correct? One set in the mufflers and the others a few steps up from the tips.
Pulling fuze 42 I believe keeps the ones near the tips open, but has no effect on the ones in the mufflers. That all being said since you Locked them at half open. If I say locked them at always open, what that be the closest to doing a muffler delete without. Actually deleting the mufflers?

Oh no doubt, I think if I had to provide an example of a sound profile I am striving for. Would be a slightly lower growl to this video.

Any knowledge is always welcome, this is my first Corvette so I'm trying to learn all that I can.
That is definitely not a car with a simple catback, that sounds like a vette with the entire exhaust done including the headers and I want to say I also heard a cam at one point.
That is a loud car, but also tame at times so I want to suspect it also maintained NPP functionality.
As for the valves, the NPP is right behind the tips before the muffler, I am unaware of any valves inside the muffler? but someone else might know more than me on that one.
