Default C7 remote Convertible

On the remote I can lock/unlock and open the trunk. However I can not get the top to go down remotely. Did change the battery in the remote. Is there something I am missing or sequence I need to do first?

and yes it is the original remote for the car - I am getting old but not that bad yet.........

Hit the door lock button first.

Is the partition in the trunk snapped in place securely with both snaps? If that is not in place the top won't go down.

Also, if you replaced the car battery or disconnected the battery, you may need to re-index the windows to get the top to move.

Also, you must hold the top down button on the FOB for the full time to lower the top. It takes a long time to get the top down with the FOB.

Hit the UNLOCK button first and then press the top down button on the FOB.

Top goes down with the interior button. Thought I unlocked it first - hate to think bad key fob - may have to try the spare

If you get a SmartTop module, it makes it a one touch operation. (No more holding down the interior button for 30 seconds). You still have to hold it down on the remote if you do it that way, though. The SmartTop also allows for the top to be put UP from the remote. You also have full window control, through 2017 models.

Hmmm, thought it was one touch for the remote too. Just looked at the website and how I read it. Can anyone confirm? Hate that Top Down Tech has not provided a window solution for 2018-2019 models. That gadget is awesome.

Not exactly correct. If you have Smarttop, you hold down the unlock button for 2 or 4 seconds and the car will beep. When it beeps release the button and the top and windows will go down without any further pushing of the FOB buttons. You can raise the top too! You press and hold the lock button on your FOB for 3 or 4 seconds and the car will beep and the top will start to go up. You can release the FOB button and the top will come up and the windows will close . At least that's how it works on my car.

You are correct on the inside top switch. A tap of the bottom of the switch and the windows and top go down. A tap on the top of the top switch and the top will come up and the windows will close. The movement of the top and the windows will happen without continually hold down the switch to do either action.
