I've been looking at youtube videos about this window tint. The hold a heat lamp on the outside of a regular tint and read 167 degrees but with the nano it reads only 7
. Anybody have this on their windows?
Ceramic tint is 100% worth the added cost. Nano tech is the new thing now with ceramic, I haven't looked into it much, but did put it on my wife's new Rover and did not notice a difference to my ceramic. But I would not hesitate getting ceramic again, definitely never getting standard window tint ever again. The heat reduction is well worth the cost.
I've tinted just about every car that I've owned for the last 20 years and I can attest to the benefits of ceramic tint as opposed to "regular" film. The heat blocking is superior. That said, I've never had nano-coated ceramic tint, though I understand it is even better than regular ceramic.
My window tint guy refused to tint my power sun roof because if there was a claim filed for cracking, etc. the insurance claims it was modified and not covered by any warranty. Of course yours is not a power sun roof, but same principal. , something to consider.
If I am getting this correctly, this works like my Photo chromatic sunglasses. The more sun, the darker it gets. That is interesting.
Edit: I talked to a Gentleman at Extreme Auto Works. He told me the new film does not change color, like the older version did. He said the new version works even better.
He quoted me $395 for the windshield and $795 for the rest of the windows on a convertible. There is a two week wait,

Reason: More info
It really does work, but the car isn't ice cold inside. It's just not smoking hot after sitting in the sun. Keep in mind, the windshield is the biggest window and will generate a lot of heat if not tinted as well.
