Default Vents

I have a C 7 and the car was ordered from Chevy with color matching side fender vents and hood vents. I have been thinking about changing them to the factory carbon flash metalic. Just looking for help in making this change. What do you think I should do.

I think the contrast makes the look of the car. Do it

You should do what you feel looks best as opposed to what others think.
IF you do decide to change to carbon flash you can have components wrapped, then if you decide you don't like it you can remove it.

Color matching kinda sets your C7 apart from the masses.
Having said that I do prefer the carbon flash.

Personally, I like the Carbon Flash Vents and accents. It helps break up the lines. I keep going back and forth on the Carbon Flash Stinger. jmho

I love Carbon Flash for the contrast it provides.
However, it is the first time I have seen one color matched like yours and it also look awesome, sets it apart for the rest.

Original owner of your car paid extra for color matched trim, why take value out of your car ?

Don't like it? Switch back and sell the carbon flash parts

My Z06/Z07 ha body colored vents. It is strikingly different when you are accustomed to all the carbon flash.

If it were my car, I would go ahead and make the color change on the vents. They really look good in a contrasting color to the rest of the exterior.

I like the carbon flash vents on my Shadow Gray GS A8 2LT. While contrast doesn't come into play, like all Corvette mods, IMO subtly has more impact. But what ever floats your boat, It's your baby and it's about what you like not what others like.

I never heard of a factory color match.. possibly done locally through the dealer? I personally love the contrast.. you would almost have to color match everything as the little carbon flash left would look out of place. At the end of the day it's your ride and nobody can tell you what you like.. good luck on your decisions

@Hebert2756 I want to thank you! I have been toying with the idea to have those vents painted. But I was having difficulty visioning it. So, Thank YOU!

I have done what one poster said. I went to the C7 parts for sale and bought cheap OEM parts to have them sent off and painted. I will put them on and evaluate if it met my expectations. If not, pull them off and put them up for sale or maybe wrap them and try something new.

I am in agreement with, "it is your Vette, do what you want and never mind the outside opinions". If you like it, that's one in the win column.

Mine came this way from the factory. If I recall correctly, it was a $995.00 option, silly expensive as all options are.

Thanks guys for all the opinions. My build sheet says this was an $1,100 option so I think I will leave the car as bought. Thanks again.

I like the body color matching vents as well as the carbon flash. My 2016 Stingray Long Beach Red was ordered with body color matching vents and I liked it better than having the carbon flash. Most don't, but I do, and I'm the one that bought it. Yours looks really good!
My red Z06 I bought new off the lost, but if I was to have ordered it I probably would have went with the body colored vents. No bid deal either way.

Default Blackout Vents

Carbon Flash Vents, spoiler and side skirts sold me!
I am in the process of changing the interior from Black to Red.
Gotta love contrast!

I think your car looks great as well as unique! I would leave it as is. Why make it look like all the others?

I'd leave the hood, that is unique and I like the clean lines it gives on your car, but I would swap to the black vents. Just too much red on sides for me.
