Default Special Coverage 17469

OK, I bought my 2015 Stingray at the end of April. I wondered if I was still under a warranty and contacted a dealership.
I have a Emission Select State Component Ltd Warranty that expires is 2022, a Emission Select Component Ltd Warranty that expires in 2023, and
a Special Coverage 17469 that expires in 2025. I did a short google search and read something about gas leak issues on some cars 2014-2017.
My question is does this mean my car was affected at some point or did they just issue the warranty to any car that
could be affected during that time frame?

My understanding is that GM will cover any repair for that problem as a warranty item, even if the original GM warranty period has expired.

I know that you indicated that the dealer gave you the information, but did anyone else receive this type of info from GM in the mail?
