After six amazing joyful years of owning my first Corvette after waiting 40 years to get her I just sold it and now I’m awaiting delivery of my C8. To say it was a difficult decision is an understatement but the current used car market made it a lot easier. In fact the value went up $4500 since April and I got almost $10,000 more than I thought I could get for it especially since it was considered a high mileage car.
I’m just happy I went on one last three week road trip prior to selling. 95% of the total miles on the car are from annual month long road trips. It truly was a road trip car.
It truly was a memorable road trip. Got to see Canyonlands National Park, Arches National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park.
I've been waiting almost a year for my C-8 to be built. BG is shut down (again) and no real word on when production will resume. Fortunately, I will keep my 2019 C7 to drive until the new one is in production. Taking RC8 museum delivery. They have already ordered the dash plate and door stickers, so I guess that's good news.
Are you getting another torch red, or changing to a different color. I wanted the Long Beach red but it looks like that's been replaced by Red Mist Tintcoat metallic. Something different for a change from my last 3 Torch Red cars.
We will miss you here, I've enjoyed your posts over the years. Hope you get as much enjoyment out of your C8 as you did the C7.
When do you feel you will get delivery of your C8?
Congratulations! I love my C7 GS but I've recently decided to move to the C8 as well. It will be awhile though as I just recently got on the list and I'm keeping my C7 until then.

Although I am still in love with Torch Red I am opt’g for Red Mist Tintcoat metallic.

Thanks for sharing all the beautiful photos.
Appreciate the kind words. Like my C7 the forum has been a tremendous joy!
Not for a very long time and the estimates are all over the board. I would have kept it but I live in Oregon so interest in buying a “sports car” is a very small window (May thru July). Past that the number of people interested drops off dramatically. Besides the extremely hot used car market right now and we are in the process of house hunting in Florida I’ll be fully focused on that for the next six months so I wouldn’t have much time to drive either car until next spring anyway.
