I have been searching for weeks now to find some aftermarket wheels for my 16' Stingray w/Z51......put Michelin AS3+non RF's stock size F245/35/19 R285/30/20 on last Aug. So when I find a new wheel that I like it won't fit or the offset won't work etc etc? When I do a search on my wheel fitment it says F 19x8.5 +56 offset R 20x10 +79 offset.....bolt pattern is (5x120.65) for example I called Wheelfire today about some MRR GF9 wheels which is exactly what I was looking for and the guy on the phone said those wheels will not fit even tho the sizes were the same he said they don't come with my offset sizes ugh so, I asked what wheels would fit and he said there was only one other model MRR wheels and said the front was a 19x11??? So he lost me there lol so in my frustration and trying to understand I hung up? My question is can I move to a bigger size wheel I didn't know that was an option lol just so you guys know I've never bought aftermarket wheels b4 I like the stockers but I want something different! Please if you have any info to pass on I would really appreciate it...I know it's probably me and not understanding how this works but I'm new at wheels lol if that makes any sense....I don't want to buy new tires and just FYI my budget for the new wheels is $1500 for the set and I realize you get what you pay for but I've seen many right at or under my budget thank you guys for listening and any help you gave.
Hi Ross. Here’s a couple pics of my 16 Z51. I’d highly recommend Paul from PK auto. He’s a vendor here and has helped me several times. RSR wheels ordered from Paul Stance FS03 wheels ordered from Paul.
With both sets, I had my OEM tires mounted. Both sets, 20x11 rear, 19x9.5 fronts. The factory tires looked a bit “stretched”, but I liked the look. Some may not.
Paul will give you ideas based on budget. Count on another couple hundred to dismount tires from old rims and remount/balance the new ones. (Prepare the Mrs for the extra cost so you don’t get yelled at lol)
Oh, and tire size, 255 fronts, 305 rears, safely (assuming not lowered on factory bolts. If lowered, 295 rears to be safe) Happy hunting brother, looking forward to seeing the new wheels
Ross, I'm not sure why you are replacing the wheels: new look, damaged wheels, don't like the stock color, but there may be another option and you know they will fit. My stock Z51 wheels were black, had some curb rash from the previous owner and a lot of pitting from the brake dust. I sent mine to Wheel Craft who was just approved as a Forum Vendor and they had the best customer service I have ever experienced. They sent me boxes and labels for my wheels and I sent them back via FedEx. They repaired the curb rash, refinished the wheels and shipped them back. They do PVD coatings in Bright Ice (chrome but more durable), Black Ice (black chrome), Midnight Ice (almost a gloss black) and and a matte black. I believe they have added a couple of additional colors recently. They do the Black Ice finish for a large forged wheel maker. I liked the Black Ice finish to make the wheels stand out a little more but not too bright. I thought the Black Ice was a little light so they developed a Black Ice 11 finish that is a little darker. Their customer service was outstanding and the quality of the finish is great. They also have a 5 year warranty on the finish. Including shipping, my cost was under $1k. You can go to their website here and look at the different finishes and their gallery of wheels. Good luck with whatever you decide. Here are a couple of pictures of my wheels.
