As some are aware I very recently picked up a Z-51 convertible that has differential and trans cooling, but no vents on the top of the rear quarters. How is airflow over the coolers achieved? Just by under car flow as it's zipping down the road?

Look down below.. Big *** vents scooping up air flow.

Reason: Typo
My '15 Z51 vert has two coolers mounted directly behind the differential, one for the trans and one for the differential as I recall when I traced the lines. There is also an air dam mounted on the cross member directly below those coolers. There may be other coolers behind the driver's side quarter panel as I hear a fan running back there occasionally.
Not sure if you have an A8 but if you're concerned about keeping it a little cooler you can wrap the back of the x-pipes that go on each side of the trans. Did this on my '19 Z and keeps temps down even when flogging it at the track. I'm waiting for an AWE axle-back and when it arrives I'll wrap that from the x-pipe joint back past the trans as well
