I have them, I use them for track purposes only. One is in the holder in the battery compartment should I need to be towed. Leave them in, no thanks its a tool not an accessory. JMHO.

X2 One in the battery cover holder and one in the Cubby Hole.
For every real track car, there are millions of posers, because “ya brah, I track my ride”. That said, there’s a GM one in my battery lid cutout for real emergencies. Also had a real one on my track car because it’s a real tool you hope you’ll never use, but need on the track.
I only put them on for track days, stowed the rest of the time just in case. Your not really "towing" with them. If you go even slightly off the track, it's so slippery on the run off you'll need a little "help" getting back on track.. flatbed for the rest lol.
I do 3-4 track events a year and just leave the front tow hook in all the time. I have the rear hook in my gear for the track days but don't put it in unless necessary. It's not a big deal to take it out but I've got more important things to worry about like fluids, brakes, and tires.
