Yep you know the drill!! The leather dash shrunk off of the dash defrost vent and corners. My car is a convertible so they didn’t have to remove the windshield. The seats, steering wheel, and all of the existing dash! This had to be a nightmare job! Anyway the Dealership did a wonderful job replacing the Dash. I’m happy but, is it going to do the same thing down the road later? I’m keeping my fingers crossed!! I’m buying a sun shield immediately and not take any chances. If you have a 3LT interior, I suggest getting sun shield to be safe! I’m sure this job must have cost several thousand dollars, but covered under warranty 🙏. I’m am convinced that the combination of material used and the heat, cause shrinking. Logically, if material is the same it will happen again. Now, having said that, I have friends with 3LT dash and have not had any issues. Maybe GM used two different types of glue, I’m not sure.
Thread yesterday showed GM now uses staples and special adhesive to solve the problem. Glad you did not go the route of getting a 2LT dash for your 3LT C7 Corvette!
GM was supposed to have remedied the 2019's, yet we keep hearing reports of 19s with the condition.
I don't believe anyone really knows what's the root cause of the 3LT delaminating dashes. It's not sun/heat, at least entirely, because there's plenty of reports of garage queens that are rarely or never exposed to heat sun with the issue.

Now that is very interesting!! That kinda kills the heat and sun theory. Wow, makes no sense?

Thanks Dave, I just couldn’t bring myself to do that, guess we will never know why or what GM did for this issue
of dash problem.

I imagine Scotty Kilmer would say the root cause is that it’s GM. 🤣
Mine has some separation in the usual areas. I've managed to fix some of the bubbles but not as much separation. I bought a sunscreen and trimmed it down to just cover the dash itself. It seems to have mitigated any further separation.
Their is another thread going on right now with the same problem. Go to post #8 and watch the video GM has a fix finally!
yes thank you I watched the video, not sure exactly when GM put the fix on the Dash, it seems that my 2019 should have had the fix. So I’m not sure this video is the gospel, as my dash on my 2019 had major dash issues.
I wish I knew the replacement the dealership put in had the new fix. I’m going to the dealership and see if I can talk to the tech that installed new dash. I’ll post what I find. Going in to dealership on Tuesday.

Unless they used the staple fasteners method, chances are there will be a recurrence. Several owners have reported this.
