My 2019 Z06 M7 usually runs about 193 if stuck in traffic it gets to around 203-207.

in 100 degree traffic it will goto 230 235.pulled off road and let it cool down, back t 220 and no more problem.I assume its still factory thermostat. I purchased the car in feb. with 21k miles now has 24k. everything else is fine.

100 degree traffic I can see it going above 220 but have not experienced those conditions. However 220 all the time in normal conditions seems a bit high not sure if there is a difference between the cooling of the Z versus the Stingray I am sure someone else will chime in and give you a bit more help than I can offer.

The analog temp gauge on the 2014 is not accurate. It is really just 3 positions - cold, normal, and hot. There is an accurate digital display in the TOUR / PERF display.

Lots of discussion on this back in 2014...

My Z06 runs same as previous posts, around 195 then may go a little over 200 in traffic then will drop back to 195, but I am not driving in 100 degree traffic either, temps around here have been in the low to middle 90's. That sounds hot to me, are your cooling fans on the radiator kicking on and running while the temperature is going up? You should hear them running when the car starts getting hot, if they are not, that could be the problem.

As @RonC7 said this a "bug" with the analog display on the 2014 - the real temp as shown by the digital readout (and confirmed by a OBD-II reader) will be about 20-30 degrees cooler. So 220 on a 2014 is really about 190-200 and perfectly normal.
