Search "Attack Blue" in the C7 Tech Discussions, and you'll find more reviews. I have installed one in my 2014 Z51 and have noticed a little more throttle response, and an increased growl from the engine. I researched it on the web (Corvette YouTube Channels) and the forums. Most have said the gain is not worth it, and to stay with the OEM Filter, some have said they really like and recommend it. This is the first I have heard about drawing dirt in the engine.
According to ASHRAE testing, the Attack Blue filters slightly better than OEM (.3 Micron). Dyno results on the LT1 was a gain of 10 Hp to the wheels. Not sure how that equates to more dirt in the oil.
From a dollar per horsepower perspective, this filter is a pretty good deal. The filter sells for $99. It is reusable and available as oiled or dry. Dyno testing demonstrated a 10 hp increase on an LT1 and 37 hp on an LT4. For the LT1. that's $10/Hp. For comparison, install of a Procharger supercharger is about $40/Hp. Its hard to find cheaper power.
You will never see a test of the K&N filter by the manufacturer because the results would show that it is an inferior filter when it come to dirt holding capacity as well as filtering fine particles out of the air. Here is the most informative link about filter performance:

The attack blue micro fiber is different than the k&n oiled filter! I think I read were they are a better filter media than the oiled and better filtration than o.e. but don't know about the cost!

$99. A little more than K&N. Paid for in 2 filter changes.

AFE Pro Dry S replacement filter for the OE paper filter that is made in Thailand. 99.2% filtration efficiency. Better than the stock paper filter. Made in California.
Using the attack blue filter here. in the last 2 years i owned it, no issues. I did a uao when i got my car and 1 year after the filter and nothing unusual showed up in the year between tests for the analysis.

The description of the AFE filter is very similar to the Attack Blue. They both have the name Pro Dry S. I wonder if they are the same thing or affiliated in some way. They cost the same too.
Still waiting on walt white coupe to chime back in with data against the Attack Blue and its problems.
That's because there is no data. I'm still puzzled about the dirt in the intake air getting into the engine oil. I'm pretty sure any dirt in the intake air is insignificant compared to the carbon and water vapor blowing by the rings during the power stroke. But he's already told me I just don't understand. So I take what Walt White Coupe says with a grain of salt.
If these aftermarket filters were so bad for the engine, Chevrolet would void the warranty. I haven't heard of that happening.

Unless he can show data that is about the Attack Blue and not something else, it is less than a grain to me.
So I have to admit that I didn't have the info on an Attack Blue filter, it was the K&N. But look at that report and see how well the stock filter performs compared to so many other filters on the market. If they tested the Attack Blue filter I'd bet that the Attack Blue would be about as good as the K&N filter. Call that an educated guess.
I'm sold on the performance of the stock filter and think these high performance filters leave a lot to be desired when it comes to filtration.
