Default Borla Exhust Systems

My C7, Z51, was just fitted with a Borla ATAK exhaust system... first, the bad: the ATAK system was ordered with an X-pipe which did not fit, too short (their fault). Now the good news: Borla's customer service was quick to respond with providing replacement parts "OVERNITE". The Vette sounds great (deep & mellow, loader than track mode) and the increase in HP can be felt, particulary after 1,200 RPM. There are several excellent manufactureres of performance exhaust systems availble... however, it would difficult to surpass Borla's quality, sound, and especially their customer service.

Not at all, just a properly loud and toned sounding beast... I agree with the OP, Borla has always had excellent customer service. I've installed probably 10 of these things and they're EXCELLENT!

Looks great and thanks for your post! I really like the black tips and it gives me a good reference since my C7 GS is the same color. With that said, I've been torn between the Corsa and the Borla catbacks and online sound clips are hard to really compare. I've installed Borla's on my previous cars and know the excellent quality, fitment, and performance. Because I have the NPP, a negative for me is Corsa's solution which requires cutting the stock over the axle pipes vs the Borla kit which provides those pipes with the NPP adapters fitted. Would I ever reinstall the stock system, doubt it unless maybe someday down the road I return to stock and trade.

Corsa does offer a NPP setup, believe some members have it. Do a search to find some of those threads.

I've had Borla and Corsa, completely different sounds, depends on what you are after. Hearing in person really is the best if possible.

Congrats on the exhaust upgrade. Sounds like Borla's customer service came through for you - that's very good to hear. Enjoy the exhaust note from your car.

Thanks man. Corsa makes an AMAZING exhaust too and I'd be very happy there as well. I keep my stock exhaust and put them back on when I sell the cars (I tend to go through them), but even with that I wouldn't hesitate on Corsa. I'd just buy a cheap OEM exhaust to cut up since many sell cheap. I've even given a few away over the years. As far as sound, you have to find folks with them and hear them in person. Car shows!

Just get the NPP version of the Corsa now that it's an option.
