Consider replacing with a 1/2LT dash or
They are all ugly but, I went with https://www.dashdesigns.com/, local to you, go and shop for material, it wont stay in place during hard driving unless you secure with velcro tabs, I then took it to upholstery shop and had them modify it, trimmed off some, passenger side where dash is vertical above glove box
Windshield, inside, Llumar Formula One Stratos Windshield heat rejection film, https://www.smartfilmaz.com/, could barely tell it was tinted, not dark at all, all other widows tinted with "dark" tint
Covercraft Sunscreen, https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/sunscreens

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. I've found a dash mat on Corvette Mods that seems to suit my purpose. Too late for the 1/2LT dash. My new dash is already at the dealership. Besides, I paid for a leather dash not vinyl. I won't settle for less.

I appreciate the show of concern. I'm aware of their bad reputation on this forum and their pricing isn't the best but I have over a dozen trouble free transactions with them. Just lucky I guess.

I'll echo the recommendation on just using a quality sunscreen - it will block out a lot of heat and sun rays and fits very well.

I got a sunshade and a dash matte at the dealership. They were supposed to be custom nade for the car.
The sunshade is a very good fit with good coverage. The matte was a little rumpled and I use it when I go to areas that are hot.
That is a good idea to have an Upholstery guy fit it. I will have to try it.
