In my never ending "rings of shame" saga with my Corvette (a new service tag ring added to my fob each time it is at the dealer for service), the differential cover was replaced per the TSB to solve the warble problem. The result is that the warble is worse/different, and perhaps a more persistent droning sound from the backend. So... no luck...
The dealer (who I am very happy with so far) has now suggested changing the differential. My question to the group (and to hopefully make me feel better/confident about this situation) is have you had a differential changed? For the warble issue? Were you happy? Any concerns that I should be aware of?
Thanks!
Jason
P.S. on a positive note, the change of the lifters due to AFM failure seems to be nicely solved, and the triple-flush of the transmission seems to also work nicely (I only drive in Manual mode).
Does this car have the same differential as a Z-51 M7? I am following because I have a semi-warble/metallic rattle at 1450-1500 rpm under light load. Not trying to hijack thread.
The differential cover houses a bushing instead of an actual bearing. No problems with replacing a differential as long as you have a good mechanic.
I do believe the manual trans. and auto trans. cars don't use the same differential.

Very familiar with post since I authored it and coined the term WARBLE way back. Make sure you get a much improved new differential if they change it out or your problem will not be solved. Not sure how to tell but I would ask dealer if they could verify that the new diff. is not a new old stock diff with the same problem as you have. I have read where guys have had good luck with new diff and others ended up with same problem. Pretty sure I am not on GM Christmas card list anymore, LOL. Good luck with it. By the way GM bought my 16 base stingray back and i bought a 17 GS with zero problems.
B Jones helped me identify the warble in my new 2016 Stingray. Between emails to the GM CEO, a great dealer and Jeff Strausser of GM my entire diff was replaced and the problem was solved, at least for my car. I also added a Range device which has been it to this day.

Hey Highplains, glad to see you are still around and car is still warble free. B well
All, thanks for the responses. Dealer ordered the diff, and the car goes in for a replacement on Monday of next week. I will follow-up, wish me luck...
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
