Default Bolt location?

Hey everyone,

I am in the middle of reinstalling my engine back in my vette, and for the life of me I can't figure out where these two bolts in the picture below go. Anyone out there got a strong memory who can tell me the location they go in??

May want to fix your thread title. I got super confused when you were asking about boat location.

They're definitely not boats, not even bolts, but studs and look like exhaust manifold studs to me. You can see where they have been installed somewhere they've gotten very hot.

Definitely not exhaust related. I have had that in and out a few times and know the studs that go with those.

Maybe something for an adjustable engine accessory to mount on?

The bottom one looks like the grounding bolt. I fastened the ground wire on my Mild 2 Wild switch to a bolt that looks like that (passenger side of engine bay near the front).

As previously stated in my initial post, sure looks like exhaust manifold studs to me. And they have been installed in something very hot as indicated by the appearance of the studs.

bottom one looks like one of the nuts for a coil pack. The top one is too long for a ls lt exhaust stud. Looks like something related to mounting an accessory item on the front.

Is it possible the top one is the bolt for lowering or raising the car, that goes into the leaf spring.

Win! That's what one of them is for! Good looking out. Thanks.

Looks like top bolt could be a lowering bolt missing the rubber pad. Has been suggested previously.

You're welcome. I don't know too many bolts on the C7 yet since I just got mine in May, but that is one bolt I do recognize. hahaha

To me, they look like the studs that attach the exhaust pipes (with the cats) to the exhaust manifold outlet.

Long one goes in the center of the tensioner bracket. And the smaller is a ground stud. We got it all figured out.
