Ok guys I had a dealership incorrectly replace the torque tube bearings, stator shaft. Ultimately resulted in transmission failure. I had another dealership look at it and said the other dealership screwed it up. Anyway when it went out I was returning from lunch at work it started clanking and barely keeping an idle so I shut it off and had it towed to a reputable transmission shop. After $4500 later out of pocket I went to pick it up and all the sudden they said battery dead or alternator bad. Never had a charging issue before it always started right up. So when they did get it to start the whole engine would barely even stay running. It was shaking making clanking noises and exhaust was loud. Trying to restart it reminded of the old carborated cars when you would flood them and they wouldnt start. So I had it towed back to my house. I went and bought a brand new $200 battery. Solved the power problem but when I started the car the very same engine problems. Car sounds like it running on 3 cylinders. Any ideas ? This is my only driver and rental cars are now $100 a day here.
Find a reputable dealer or independent and let them diagnose it. Appears that your Stingray's engine/drivetrain needs a thorough going over. Don't nickel dime yourself doing speculative repairs that keeps you coming back here for well meaning opinions. Deal with a shop face to face.
If it's a shop that's dedicated to high performance vehicles like the Corvette, I would go with them. You'll probably get more personalized service. I like being able to speak directly to the individual that's working on my Stingray. It gives me a feel for the character of the individual. But in the final analysis, it's your Vette, your call. Go with your gut.
I had a 2007 Z06 that started what you described? I was only going about 25mph. Turned out to be broke valve spring? Lucky for me it did not creat other issues. Had Franks Vettes in Spring Texas figure it out and replaced all the valve springs. Did not have anymore issues
do you remember what that cost was? I am going to post a video. Im not sure how to do it in the forum but I will link it to my you tube

I hope you’re car isn’t an auto. If the first shop can’t rebuild a tq tube correctly then they probably didn’t follow the install procedure and may have damaged your thrust bearing. If it’s a manual then you don’t have to worry about it.
