C8 needs a driver mod.

 

The C7 is a Z06 and this track definitely benefits supercharged or turbo charged cars versus normally aspirated. Mile high at Bandimere Raceway in Colorado. Cars are always down in performance, there, compared to sea level.

 

I don’t get why people are surprised by the C7 Z beating the C8 in a quarter mile. I’ve run 3 with my Z, 3-0 so far. Looking forward to seeing what the c8 Z06 offers. That should be a beast

 

Could be as that was not a good time for the C8.

 

Keep in mind that a normal C7 would be a 13+ second car at this track at about 108 MPH. This track is easily a second slower for NA cars versus places like PBIR at sea level.

That is a hell of a slow takeoff for the C8, C7Z should win but dunno what C8 guy was doing.

 

I didn't see either car attempt to take a turn... so....

 

The C7 had drag radials which will make the street tired C8 look slow, compared.

 

I don't get it. 650HP vette beats 495HP vette. Am I missing something???

its not just about horsepower you have to factor in suspension, tires, transmission, driver and as some have mentioned, elevation. If the z06 had drag radials thats a pretty big advantage right there. All things being equal this race would have been much closer.

 

Yeah, and oranges have a longer shelf life than apples. What a stupid comparison. I mean wouldn't a c7 a8 Stingray closer comparison?

A video like this was posted a month ago with the C8 winning the race. Glad to see the correct results posted this time.

 

Lots to consider here. I'd like to see more of these comparisons posted.
