This happened in Treasure Island, FL, just down the street from where I live. C7 was racing a Hellcat. Estimated they were going 100mph. Gulf Blvd veers to the left at that point to go over Bling Pass. They never turned. C7 went straight into the gas pump causing the fire. The employees at the 7-11 cut power to the pumps and then pulled the driver out before he was seriously burned. Still in serious condition. The Hellcat driver went airborne between the two posts that hold up the gas price sign and was not hurt.
Keep the racing on the tracks. Don’t endanger people who didn’t leave the house in the morning intending to be innocent victims of jackasses showing off. At least these morons didn’t hurt anyone else.
Two things I noticed. One, the gas pump was located on the right side of the car and is now missing after burning (The pump shutoff is on the pillar). Two, the fuel filler on a C7 is on the left. The question is, how did it catch on fire if no one was fueling the car?

Wow I didn't hear about this at all. Freaking morons... Glad no one got killed.

In the picture which was taken later the pump had already been removed. There is about a gallon of gas in the pump. When the car hit it the gas exploded setting the car on fire. The employees immdiately hit the emergency off button keeping more gas from pouring out.
