On a 2016 Stingray I connected the charger and plugged it into the receptacle in front of the cup holder but only the orange light comes on. Is this okay or do the other three lights have to light up?
thanks very much.
You are supposed to plug it into the car without the charger being plugged into the wall. A single green light should come on indicating that the connection is good. Then you plug it into the wall and the green light should stay on and an orange light should come on indicating that it is charging. Once the battery is fully charged, the orange light should go off and a second green light should come on (2 green lights lit). The battery will charge intermittently and one green light will go off and the orange light will come back on. After fully charged, both green light will be lit and the orange light will be off.

I've done it that way, and it works.
However, I now leave the trunk slightly ajar for the wire. If I forget to to remove the charger before starting the engine, the car gives all sorts of chimes and messages about the trunk being open, so I wouldn't try to back out of the garage while still connected. Like some others have done.
The only times we've had rodents get into the cars, the cars were completely closed up.
